Our Sauna Sessions
Crafted in tribute to the traditional Finnish way of saunaring, our wood-fired sauna offers an authentic and rejuvenating experience. Heated to steamy temperatures of up to 85°C, we recommend 15-minute intervals, with cooling breaks in between — step outside to breathe in the crisp mountain air, or if you're feeling brave, take a dip into the nearby river.
All bookings for the sauna are private and available in 30- or 60-minute sessions for groups of up to five. Your session includes towels, water, and traditional felted wool sauna hats, designed to help regulate your body temperature and extend your time in the heat for maximum enjoyment.

Dalgety is a small, welcoming town in New South Wales, set on the banks of the Snowy River. On the edge of the Snowy Mountains, Dalgety is perfectly positioned for skiers and snowboarders, with Perisher only just an hour away & Jindabyne a quick 30 minute drive. Dalgety offers a peaceful country escape, surrounded by wide open paddocks, river views, and clear mountain air. Our sauna sits right in the heart of this setting, a quiet place to stop, breathe, and soak up the calm.
Why not make a day of it? Start with a restorative session in our cosy wood-fired sauna, then take a short drive to the Dalgety Brewing Co. for a relaxed lunch and a locally brewed pint. Or, visit the Dalgety Pub for a hearty dinner and a dose of country charm.

Snowy River Sauna is located in Dalgety, NSW & offers a truly authentic sauna experience in one of Australia’s most peaceful settings. Our sauna is built from a converted horse float and handcrafted in the Snowy Mountains, giving it a rustic charm and inviting warmth.
Tucked away in the non-powered area of Dalgety Campground, our sauna is open to everyone, you don’t have to be staying at the campground to book.
